Michael Eugene Adler, 43, of Rudolph passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 after losing his battle against cancer. Michael was born in Bowling Green to Eugene and Nancy (Wilhelm) Adler. Michael is survived by his daughters Kimberley R. Valentine and Sydney R. Adler both of Bowling Green; his mother Nancy Adler of Rudolph; his sisters Deborah (Gary) Codeluppi of Xenia, Diane (Michael) Eisel of Sylvania, Valerie (Daniel) Wigton of Marion, and Marijane Adler of Rudolph; his former wife Vicky Valentine-Adler of Bowling Green; his loving friend Tricia Daniels of Toledo; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and a great-nephew. Michael was preceded in death by his father Eugene Adler and by brother-in-law Thierry Kernisan.
Michael was an Electrical Controls Engineer at Henry Filters in Bowling Green. He also worked along with his father as an auctioneer for Adler Auctioneers. Michael enjoyed fishing and hunting especially in Canada, Wisconsin, and Lake Erie. He also enjoyed traveling and had a love for the ocean. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Navy during Desert Storm. Michael was an avid reader; he loved reading about and studying the wars in our nation’s history and also enjoyed studying aviation. Michael enjoyed watching sports and was a big fan of the Detroit Red Wings, St. Louis Cardinals, and the Cincinnati Bengals. Michael took pleasure in weekend rides on his motorcycle. Michael was a movie enthusiast. He enjoyed watching sci-fi movies with his daughter Sydney and was a Star Wars Fan. Ultimately, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family.
Visitation for Michael will be on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 1-4 PM & 5-8 PM in the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home & Crematory, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where a Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 PM. Michael’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the St. Louis Catholic Church, 22792 Defiance Pike, Custar, Ohio 43511. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
