Michael D. Hartman, 68, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Tuesday July 9, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 8, 1955, to the late Harold and Kathleen (Schwind) Hartman in Toledo, Ohio. He married Carla Johnson on August 27, 1982, and she survives in Bowling Green.
Michael worked for Luckey Farmers for 46 years, managing their Sugar Ridge grain elevator. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green and a former member of the Northwest Ohio Tractor Pullers Association. He enjoyed playing euchre with family and friends, landscaping, sitting on his front porch, chicken BBQ’s, attending his grandkids sporting events and cheering on the Eastwood Eagles. Michael also enjoyed selling Christmas trees at Rick and Carl’s Tree’s in Bowling Green. Above all else what he cherished most was spending time with his family.
Along with his wife of 41 years, Carla, Michael is survived by his 3 daughters Brianna (Michael) Allegier, Katie (Thurman) Lawniczak, Whitney (Scott) Recker, brother Robert (Kay) Hartman, sister Nancy (Jerry) Rosendale, 8 grandchildren Addison, Aaron, Vincent, Henry, James, Jaxon, Lucy and Charleigh.
He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Kay Pierce.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Aloysius Catholic Church Bowling Green, Ohio.
A visitation will be held on Sunday July 14, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home at 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio 43566. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday July 15, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church located at 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate.
