Michigan man arrested for alleged assault and burglary when BG woman returns to find him in her home

Bowling Green Police arrested a Michigan man Sunday (12/1) evening after a woman returned home after being out of town and found him in her apartment in the 200 block of Napoleon Road.

While the woman was away, Mitchel Dunson, 21, of Temperance, reportedly told her he would be in her apartment when she returned. She reportedly told him she would call the police if he was there.

When she got home and found him there, she told him to leave. When she started calling police, Dunson allegedly grabbed her phone and pinned her down by her arms. He eventually released her, and she was able to go into another room and call 911. After realizing she was calling police, Dunson allegedly left, punching her front window and shattering it.

Police were able to contact Dunson by phone, and asked him to come to the police station. He reportedly had several cuts on his hand from smashing the window.

He was charged with assault, burglary, criminal damaging and disrupting public services. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
