From WOOD COUNTY DOG SHELTER
(Note: Miss Patches has been adopted … but there are other dogs at the Wood County Dog Shelter waiting for a home.)
Everyone is invited to meet Miss Patches. She is a 4- to 5-year-old pit bull that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. She is currently a favorite at the shelter and loves to hang out in the office during the day. Miss Patches does great with other dogs, and loves every human she has met so far. She seems to be housebroken, loves to snore the day away on her dog bed, and loves going for leisurely walks. Miss Patches is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccines and heartworm test.
The new 2026 adoption fee is $100 plus a $16 dog license.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, and can be reached by calling 419-354-9242.
