Mobile Food Pantry moves to First United Methodist for more space

(Submitted by the Mobile Food Pantry)

The Mobile Food Pantry was moved to the First United Methodist Church for more space and the overhang if it rains.  Here are the details:

  • BGSU and Food for Thought Mobile Pantry
  • March 26 from 2-4 p.m.
  • 1526 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green (First United Methodist parking lot)

As the COVID-19 situation unfolds, you may find yourself facing new or additional financial hardships and food insecurity. While the pantry cannot serve food on campus and is not accepting volunteers right now, we want to continue to serve anyone in need by holding a drive-thru mobile food pantry.

The BGSU Center for Public Impact, along with community partners Food for Thought of Toledo, United Way Wood County, and First United Methodist, have co-sponsored this mobile pantry, with many thanks to Huntington Bank. Despite being a drive-thru pantry, if a car is not accessible to you, you can still walk through the pantry, we will always just maintain appropriate social distance from you in addition to the other safety precautions we will already be taking. Read below for details or contact publicimpact@bgsu.edu for questions.

BGSU Mobile Pantry Information

• You will drive up to the food pantry/trailer (lining up behind other cars). Then, a volunteer will check you in and explain the process of shopping the pantry.
