Molly, a Plott hound mix at Wood County Dog Shelter, is waiting for someone to take her home

Meet Molly, a 3-year-old Plott hound mix, that is up for adoption at the Wood County Dog Shelter.  According to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding, Molly loves her people and gets bonded with them very quickly.

Molly was previously adopted from the shelter, but was brought back because she was not the right fit for the family.  She did not get along with the small dog in the home, so the shelter is requesting either an only dog home for her or to bring your dog in to meet her before adoption.

Molly also would jump on the children and knock them down, so she needs someone who knows the breed and can give her the exercise and training she needs. She loves to go for walks and is a typical hound when she is out and has her nose to the ground. She checks in frequently to make sure her person is still there.

She was at an adoption event over the weekend and met lots of new people. She didn’t meet a stranger and loved all of the attention. She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines.

The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed. The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
