Meet Moser, a 1-year-old Great Dane mix that was found in Bowling Green as a stray, and is waiting at the Wood County Dog Shelter for someone to give him a home.
“He is a super happy-go-lucky guy that loves everybody he meets,” Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said. “He loves to run in the dog park and loves to play ball. He is known around the shelter for picking a toy to take back to his kennel with him.”
Moser has done well with the other dogs at the shelter, but it is recommended that people interested in adopting bring their entire family in to meet him.
“He is a big puppy who does not realize his size. He loves treats and is catching on to basic commands at the shelter,” Harding said.
Moser is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
