Bowling Green Police arrested a motorized scooter driver for OVI on Saturday (Aug. 30) around 11:30 p.m.
An officer was on patrol, when he came upon Jaime Sanchez, 39, of Bowling Green, lying unconscious face down in the roadway in the 600 block of Kenwood Avenue. A motorized scooter was on the road next to him, and several of his belongings were scattered in the area.
Sanchez was reportedly lying on glass from a broken bottle of alcohol. The report noted Sanchez had a strong odor of alcohol, bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech.
Sanchez was arrested for OVI, refusal to be tested, and failure to maintain reasonable control. Police noted he had a felony warrant out of Texas. He was taken to Wood County Jail.
