Nike, a 3- to 4-year old boxer mix, was brought to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. Nike came to the shelter with two other dogs, including Boots, who is also available for adoption.
Nike is a very laid back and sweet dog, according to Wood County Dog Warden Jodi Harding. She does well with other dogs and is very calm. She has been around children and done well with them. She walks well on a leash, loves her treats, and loves going for walks.
She is spayed, heartworm negative, and up to date on her vaccines. She has been at the shelter for a month now and would really like a forever home.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
