North Baltimore Library to show ‘Pride & Prejudice,’ Thursday, Aug. 21

The North Baltimore Public Library, 230 N. Main St., will show “Pride and Prejudice” for their free monthly movie series, “View & Chew.”

The movie was selected to honor the 250th anniversary of novelist Jane Austen’s birth, Dec. 16, 1875. The 2005 version of the movie starring Keira Knightley will be shown on Thursday, Aug. 21. The theater doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the movie will begin at 6 p.m. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Synopsis: When Elizabeth Bennet meets the handsome Mr. Darcy, she believes he is the last man she could ever marry, but as their lives become intertwined, she finds herself captivated by the man she has sworn to hate forever.
