The monthly general meeting of Not In Our Town BG will be held in the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St., on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 3-5 p.m. The gathering is open to community and campus public participation and input. Those present will consider local and national events of the past month and listen to any recent issues of prejudice or discrimination that may have surfaced. The group will also announce future NIOT BG programming for building a more safe, respectful and inclusive community and how people can get involved.
NIOT BG is a local chapter of a national movement to “Stop hate. Together.” Monthly meetings alternate between the BGSU campus and a downtown location. Questions
and comments can be sent to the community co-chair, Julie Broadwell (J.Broadwell@cocoonshelter.org) or the campus co-chair Alex Solis (asolis@bgsu.edu).
