Meet Odin, a 7-8-month-old pittie mix that came to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. According to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding, he is a “super sweet boy who is looking for an active home. He loves everybody he meets, and is the happiest go-lucky guy you could meet. He loves to carry toys when he is walking, or will grab the leash and walk himself.”
Odin is on the smaller side, only weighing 35 pounds. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. He does well with the other dogs at the shelter, Harding said.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
