The following Ohio Department of Transportation construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Wood County next week. All work is weather permitting.
Ohio 25, between Cygnet Road and U.S. 6, Bowling Green/Portage, closed to through traffic on March 1 through July 2023 for road reconstruction. Detour: I-75 to U.S. 6.
Continuing impacts:
- Work began March 1 between Powell Road and U.S. 6.
- As of April 24, traffic is now switched onto the northbound lanes to allow for the reconstruction of the southbound lanes.
- The southbound direction is completely closed.
- Northbound traffic is maintained in one lane.
- Wood County Engineer’s Office will have a simultaneous closure on Rudolph Road, adjacent to Route 25.
Upcoming impacts:
- Route 25 will be closed between Powell Road and the north corporation line of the Village of Portage beginning Friday, June 9. Full closure; traffic will not pass in either direction. Traffic will be detoured to Route 6, Interstate 75, or Ohio 235.
Lime City Road over I-75, Rossford, is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary traffic signal following a strike from an over-height load which damaged the bridge. Traffic will remain in this pattern for several months.
Ohio 18/Ohio 235, in the village of Hoytville, is open following a railroad repair.
Route 18, between Bloomdale and Hancock County line, and in Bloomdale, will experience lane restrictions for resurfacing, performed under flagging operations in the work zone, through June. Project was delayed for administrative purposes.
Route 18, between Route 235 and Liberty Hi Road, work is complete.
Ohio 64 (Wooster Street), from I-75 to Mercer Road, Bowling Green, is restricted to one lane in each direction during construction of a roundabout at Campbell Hill Road. Work is being performed on behalf of the city of Bowling Green and will continue until late summer.
Ohio 65, between Route 235 and Henry County line, Grand Rapids, work is complete in this segment of the project.
