Olivia Ramos, 83, beloved “GG,” Grandmother, Spouse, Mother, and Daughter passed away on Friday November 8th, 2024. Born in Laredo, TX on March 29, 1941, to the late Juan and Delores (Cantu) Flores.
She is survived by her children: Virginia (Ruben) Sandoval; Hector (Carmen) Ramos; Anna (Paul) Jackson; and Sandy (Andy) Perez; grandchildren: Cassandra (Matthew), Priscilla, Hailey, Melissa, Selina, Ruben Jr., Hector Jr., Anthony, Stephanie, Crystal, and Travis; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings: Manuella Ibarra, Elia Hernandez, and Alejandro Flores. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ramon; sons: David and Ramon Jr.; and siblings: Gabrella Ranjel and Nico Flores.
Olivia worked as a laundry worker at Bowling Green Manor for 15 years. She was a talented seamstress and cook. As a devoted parishioner of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Olivia found solace in her faith. She loved the simple pleasures of life, taking joy in traveling to Florida and Nashville, enjoying lunches with friends, and spending time at the senior center. Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family and demonstrated the importance of kinship.
Visitation for Olivia will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 4:00 until the time of a Rosary service at 6:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Her funeral mass will be held on Tuesday November 12, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
