Open air creativity celebrated at Art in the Park

The Bowling Green Arts Council and Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department will host the 10th annual Art in the Park on the grounds of Simpson Garden Park, 1291 Conneaut Ave., on Friday, June 7  from 5-7p.m. rain or shine. 

The free, public event will feature live music, theatrical performances, artists painting on easels, interactive art activities for children and yoga in a beautiful garden setting.

As they stroll through Simpson Garden Park, attendees will have an opportunity to view area artists at work; and listen to music by local musicians and music groups and performances by the Black Swamp Players.

The Black Swamp Players will present an excerpt from “Puffs, “a take-off of Harry Potter.

Music groups throughout the grounds will include Toraigh; Senior Moments guitar group, Black Swamp Drum Circle, and Kazenodaichi Taiko.

Blue Collar BBQ food truck will be serving. 

Activities will move inside the Simpson building in case of rain. 

Parking is available at Wood County Hospital.
