Patricia A Sanders

Patricia “Pat” Sanders, age 82, of Pemberville, OH passed away at Bridge Hospice, Bowling Green, OH on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born in Bowling Green on November 29, 1944, to the late Gordon and Lucille (Spilker) Burkhart. She was a 1959 graduate of Pemberville High School but Webster School was always her favorite. On May 28, 1960 Pat married Larry Sanders in Scotch Ridge, Oh. Pat and Larry raised 3 children on the family farm where she enjoyed being a farmwife and Larry’s “right hand man”. Together they celebrated nearly 56 years of marriage, until Larry’s passing on December 21, 2016.

Pat worked for the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier in the Pemberville and surrounding area for 20 years and earlier in life was a Beautician. She was first and foremost a loving mom and grandma as it was the grandchildren that brought her joy with the great grandchildren bringing even more joy. Pat’s memberships include; Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, Farm Bureau Council – Country Club and Bunco Club. She enjoyed wintering in Port Charlotte FL with Larry, reading, playing cards with friends and was an avid collector of Fenton Glass. She and Larry also loved polka festivals and music and enjoyed going to auctions, flea markets, tractor shows (both preferring John Deere) across many states.

Pat is survived by her children: Steven L. (Michael Phelps) Sanders of Kansas City MO, Denise L. (Brian) Pickerel and Daniel A. (Beth) Sanders both of Pemberville, grandchildren: Angela (Arik) Witker, Jonathon (Jillian) Sanders, Matthew (Brittany) Pickerel, Alisha Sanders, Samantha Sanders, 7 great grandchildren. Many cousins and special friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sister-in laws: Tom and Mary Sanders and Jim and Jacqueline Moore.

Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 with a funeral service on Thursday, September 12th at 11 a.m., at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 Main Street Luckey, Ohio. Interment will follow at Webster Township Cemetery, Scotch Ridge, OH. Officiating will be Pr. Timothy Philabaum.
