Patricia Cory, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on June 4, 1959, Patricia was a lifelong resident of the area, graduating from Otsego High School in 1977. Over the years, she dedicated her working life to the dining services at Bowling Green State University, where she served as a line cook and cashier, before concluding her career at the Wood County Jail.
Patricia was a devoted mother to her two sons, Jason (Allison) and Christopher Hurt. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her four cherished grandchildren: Lane, Colter, Grant, and Logan, who were the center of her universe. Her love for them knew no bounds, and she was happiest when surrounded by their laughter and energy.
Along with her children and grandchildren, Patricia is survived by her siblings: Bobby, Tammy, and Dawn. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and JoAnn (Hayes) Hurt, her infant brother Brian, and her brother-in-law Richard.
An avid enthusiast of Christmas, “The Grinch,” and The Ohio State Buckeyes, Patricia had a zest for life that touched everyone around her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
Visitation for Patricia will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 4:00 until the time of her Celebration of Life service at 6:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home, Bowling Green.
