Patricia L. Gorrill Dauterman, age 81, of Portage, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Wood County Hospital in Bowling Green. She was born on April 7, 1942, to the late Loyd R. & Zora L. (Scovill) Hartley. Pat married Daniel T. Gorrill on January 28, 1961, in Wayne, and he preceded her in passing on April 15, 2007. She then married Rodney C. Dauterman on October 14, 2017, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee by Pastor Kirby.
Surviving Pat is her loving husband, Rod; children, Scott (Keely) Gorrill of Lantana, Texas, Todd (Patti) Gorrill of Colorado Springs, Melissa (Karl) Cline of Sheridan, Wyoming; step-children, Ryan (Penny) Dauterman of Portage, Brock (Christy) Dauterman of Perrysburg, Holly (Michael) Deck of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Victoria (Dustin) Toth, Michael Cline, Hailey Cline, Caleb Gorrill, Alyssa Gorrill, Cassidy Gorrill; step-grandchildren, Brittany (Ory) Gress, Brik (Emily) Dauterman, Braden Dauterman; step-great-grandson, Benny. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd & Zora; loving husband, Daniel; and brother, James R. Hartley.
Pat was a 1960 graduate of Elmwood High School and was a member of Mt. Zion United Brethren Church. She had a great passion for landscaping, gardening, and yardwork, as well as painting, decorating, and artwork. Pat was constantly busy doing something around the house, spending time with her friends, and daily devotions were very important to her. Pat and Rod enjoyed spending their winters in Haines City, Florida, and are grateful for the relationships and friends they made. Her greatest love in life though, was spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 10 AM – 12 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Mt. Zion United Brethren Church near Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin on Tuesday, at 12 PM with Pastor Andre Laird and Todd Gorrill officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion UB Church. All arrangements have been entrusted to Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
