Pauline C. Young, age 90, of Bowling Green, OH passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017 with her family near her side at the Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Bowling Green to Alfred and Mary (Kellermeier) Getz. Following her graduation from Bowling Green High School, Pauline married Harold D. Young on June 29, 1946 in Perrysburg. Together they managed a farm and raised three sons before Harold’s death in 2010 following 64 years of marriage. Pauline had worked as a cook at the Eastwood High School Cafeteria for 10 years. She was a devoted farm wife and mother that enjoyed camping going to casinos and cooking, especially baking pies.
Pauline is survived by her sons: David (Sue) Young of Bradner, Michael (Deb) Young of Bowling Green, John (Pat) Young of Bowling Green, grandchildren: Brenda (Scott Meyer) Turley, Connie (Steve) Pierce, Nicholas (Erin) Young, Brad Knauss, Megan Knauss, great grandchildren: Adalynn, Carson, Reese, Brayden, sister: Arlene Kirian of Bowling Green and sister-in-law: Alice Getz of Portage. In addition to her husband Harold, Pauline was preceded in death by her son: Richard, both of her parents and brother: Paul Getz.
Graveside Services will be 11 A.M., Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at the New Belleville Ridge Cemetery located at 22552 Carter Road in Dowling. Officiating will be Rev. Howard Abts.
