From PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH
Peace Lutheran Church has announced the “Peace Porch Pantry & Pages” box, a free community resource. The box, which offers free food, toiletries, and books, as available, is located on the porch at the north entrance of Peace Church, 1021 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green. There is access to the drive off of Martindale Road. All items are free, and the books can be returned.
The box was made possible by Peach Church and others, including BG Persists, that gifted the hand-crafted box by James Louder.
Peace Church is currently accepting donations for the box. When donating food, the church asks to donate dry goods only, to avoid breakage or spoilage due to freezing. Other items the church is requesting include small packets of laundry detergent, hats, gloves, and tissues.
To donate, if there is space, place the donations in the box. If there is not room, set on the chairs and the team will keep them on hand to supply the box, as needed. Any excess donations will be given to local food pantries.
