Perrysburg Musical Theatre is casting its production of “Next to Normal.”
The production is led by Artistic Director Julie Bermudez and is directed by Julie Zatko with musical direction by Charles Ligus. The production staff welcomes anyone high school age and up to audition and plans to cast a diverse and inclusive cast that reflects the world today.
“Next to Normal,” with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt, explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness.
Auditions will be held Aug. 22 and 23 from 6-8 p.m.at the Commodore Building, Juliet Beck Theater, 140 E Indiana Ave,
Perrysburg, OH 43551. The parking lot is on 5th and Louisiana.

The show will be staged Oct. 27 and 28 at 7 p.m. and October 29 at 2 p.m. in the Juliet Beck Auditorium.
Winner of three 2009 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Score and the 2010 Pulitzer Prize, “Next to Normal” was also chosen as “one of the year’s ten best shows” by critics around the country, including The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone and The New York Times.
Next to Normal is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).
