While on patrol Saturday around 12:50 a.m., a Bowling Green police officer noticed a man carrying a plastic skeleton wearing a lime green T-shirt and a white construction hard hat.
Recognizing the skeleton from the front yard of a house one block from the police station on West Wooster Street, the officer stopped the man walking eastbound along East Wooster Street.
The man, aged 19, from Cincinnati, reportedly admitted to taking the skeleton from the front yard.
While the suspect was attempting to identify himself, the officer reportedly noticed a fictitious ID card in his phone case. He reportedly smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and swayed while talking with the officer.
The man was arrested for underage possession of alcohol, possession of a fictitious ID, and criminal mischief.
The skeleton, nicknamed “Jack Hammer,” which has adorned the West Wooster front yard during ongoing construction on the street, was returned to the homeowners.
