Protestors on the southeast corner of Wooster and Main exhort passing drivers to honk their horns

Hundreds of protestors demonstrated their opposition to Donald Trump, his advisor and richest person  in the world, Elon Musk, and hometown member of the U.S. House Bob Latta in downtown Bowling Green. They expressed their opinions with chants and hand-made signs as well as the honking of horns by vehicles passing by.

On the weekend that marked the 250th anniversary of the outbreak of the American Revolution on the town greens of Lexington and Concord, people decried cuts in social programs, attacks on higher education, the deportation of foreign nationals in the country legally, restrictions on reproductive rights, and the flouting of Constitutional systems.

Due process for immigrants was among the many issues advocated for during Friday and Saturday’s demonstration.

Saturday more than 300 protestors crowded all of the downtown’s four corners and a smaller protest was held on the northern edge of Wooster Green on Friday evening. The protests were part of a nationwide effort that come after the “Hands Off” demonstrations held on April 5.
