A program called “Immigration Misunderstood, Illegal or Undocumentable?” will be held Sept. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the atrium of the Wood County District Public Library, 251 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The program will be the first in a series of panel discussions on the U.S. immigration system. The program will focus on how the immigration system works, how it doesn’t, and how to make it work better.
Speaking will be Eugenio Mollo Jr., managing attorney of immigration rights at ABLE. The speaker will be followed by local voices addressing how these policies impact lives, even for people who aren’t immigrants. People will be able to ask questions.
Opening remarks will be given by Bowling Green Mayor Dick Edwards. The program is hosted by the Immigrant Solidarity Committee of La Conexion. Anyone wanting additional information may call 419-308-2328 or email laconexionwc@gmail.com.
