Program to focus on early photography and geology in national parks

Bowling Green Parks and Recreation, in collaboration with Bowling Green State University, will present an exploration of the early perspectives of national park landscapes.

Led by professors Andrew Hershberger and Kurt Panter from BGSU, this event will delve into the imagery captured by photographers in the 1860s and the geological insights of early scholars.

The program will focus on Grand Canyon National Park on Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., and Rocky Mountain National Park on Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. Both programs will be hosted at the Rotary Nature Center at Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve.

Pre-registration is encouraged. To reserve a spot, contact Cinda Stutzman at stutzman@bgohio.org or call 419-353-0301.
