Raymond E. Sloan, 84, of Weston, Ohio passed away November 13, 2024. He was born June 24, 1940 in Weston to the late Robert and Goldie (Jeffery) Sloan. He married Jane Engle on February 8, 1974 and she preceded him in death in 2020.
Ray worked for Maumee/Portage Stone Quarry for 45 years. He was a member of the Bowling Green Eagles 2180 and the Grand Rapids Sportsman’s Club. He enjoyed spending time, camping, fishing, hunting, playing cards and taking bus trips to the casino.
He is survived by his children Ray Sloan Jr. of Fort Pierce, Florida and Lori Rowe of Port St. Lucie, Florida, step-son John (Tina) Bath of Bowling Green, sisters Ramona (Ethridge) Barnes and Ruthann (Barry) Bressler, 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents, wife Jane, daughter Tammy Clayton, step-son Robert Bath and brother Robert Sloan.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday November 21, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Interment will follow at Weston Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m.
