Richard Allen Garner, 71, of Rudolph, Ohio passed away Friday November 5, 2021. He was born November 12, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio to the late William and Hazel (Hensley) Garner. He married Goldie Howard and she preceded him in death. He later married Dianna Rhoads and she survives in Rudolph.
Richard served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Yarnell’s for many years and was a former member of Way of the Cross church.
Along with his wife Dianna, Richard is survived by his children Christopher (Katie) Garner of Bowling Green, Ohio, Richard Garner II of Rudolph, Ohio, Nicole (Troy) Hamm of Bowling Green, Ohio and Angie (Kevin) Jewell of Rudolph, Ohio. He is also survived by his grandchildren Derek, Christopher, Vincent, Emily, Hayden, Spencer, Isaiah, Jamal, Kevin “TJ”, Hazel, Tyler, Brett and Gavin and sisters Mary (Don) Love Joy of Deshler, Ohio, Linda Rickard of Tiffin, Ohio, Kathy (Bob) Love Joy of Fostoria, Ohio and Bonnie (Jame) St. Clair of Fostoria, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his daughters Rhonda and Sabrina, son Rodney, grandson Reed, brothers Ray and Glenn and sisters Brenda and Deborah.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 10, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 West Wooster St. Interment will follow at Rudolph Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m.
