Rick was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1950 to John & Jeanne (Andrea) Adams. Joining his older brother Jim in the family home in Jerry City, Ohio.
Rick attended Westwood and Elmwood schools. While attending Elmwood, he played high school football. After graduation in 1968, Rick started on his journey to becoming an electrician. For several years, Rick ran a family electrical business, Adams Electric, with his sons.
Rick met the love of his life, Gretchen (Gottschalk) in 1969 at Frisch’s in Bowling Green, Ohio. Excited to start their lives together, the happy couple was married on Valentine’s Day 1971 at the United Methodist Church in Luckey, Ohio.
Rick and Gretchen have three grown children: Jill Wells (Thomas) of Guilford, Indiana, Richard Adams (Diana) of Fremont, Ohio, and Randall Adams (Vicky, deceased) of Bowling Green, Ohio.
Rick & Gretchen also have five grandchildren: Erika and Austin Wells of Guilford, Indiana and Sebastion, Shyloh, and Shaedon Adams of Fremont, Ohio.
Rick had a giant heart for his pets. He leaves behind his beloved rescue dogs Bella, a dachshund, and Mandy, a beagle. Rick will be reunited with his pets Skippy, Rusty, Bo, and Rags.
Rick enjoyed talking about his Oldsmobile 442 and Harley motorcycle. As a dad, Rick enjoyed attending and watching sporting events with his children. As a grandfather, he enjoyed attending the various sporting events and activities over the years.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, John Adams (1971), his mother, Jeanne Adams (2011), and his older brother, James Adams (2018).
