Richard (Dick) E. Solether, 76, of Cygnet, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family, on Tuesday, October 3, 2017. He was born on August 27, 1941 in Monroe, Michigan to Kenneth and Dorothy (Loe) Solether. He married Peggy Roberts on November 7, 1964 and she survives in Cygnet. Dick served in the United States Marine Corps from June 22, 1960 to May 4, 1966. He drove truck for Abbott Laboratories and various trucking companies throughout his life. Along with his wife Peggy of 52 years, Dick is survived by daughter Michele Solether of Bowling Green; son Rick Solether (Chris); granddaughter Morgan Solether; and a grandson Trevor Solether, all of Cygnet. He is also survived by his sister Kay Schauer of Bowling Green and brother Joe Schweitzer of Sylvania. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth and step-mother Nonnie Solether, mother Dorothy and step-father Addie Schweitzer, and step-sister Deborah E. Lopez. Private family arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home, 408 West Wooster Street in Bowling Green.
