Robert Eugene Swartz, 84, of Tontogany, Ohio passed away November 15, 2024. He was born August 13, 1940 in Liberty, Twp., Ohio to the late Norman and Irene (Adler) Swartz. He married Janellen (Coppes) Swartz on June 8, 1974 and she survives in Tontogany.
Bob was a graduate of North Baltimore High School. He worked as the Superintendent of the Bowling Green Water and Sewer Department until his retirement. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green, The American Rabbit Breeders Association and the Northwest Ohio Trapper’s Association.
Along with his wife of 50 years, Jane, Bob is survived by his children, Mark (Tammie) Warner, Paula (Kirk) Kaighin, Tracy Swartz, Lisa (Jack) Morrison, Glee Swartz, Ann (Jim) Gucker, Tara Swartz, and Brant (Jennifer) Warner, daughter-in-law Vickie Warner, brothers Tony (Angie) Swartz, and Bill (Teresa) Swartz, sister Jan Seredich, 20 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Irene, son Craig, daughter Jill, brothers Paul, Richard and Steven, and sisters Norma and Diane.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday November 21, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 150 S. Enterprise St. Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Father Tom McQuillen will officiate. Interment will follow at Wood County Memory Gardens where full Military honors will be rendered by AMVETS Honor Detail. Immediately following the burial a time of food and fellowship will be held at St. Aloysius. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
