Robert Edward Coffield Jr., age 63, of Bowling Green, OH, passed away at home on Thursday, November 28, 2024, with his family at his side. He was born on June 11, 1961 to Robert Edward and Gloria Jean (Kropchuk) Coffield Sr., in Toledo, OH. He later graduated from Woodward High School in 1979. He married Paula Sue Gillen at Christ the King Catholic Church in Toledo, OH, on September 30, 1995. Robert Jr., and Paula have raised two sons and have celebrated over 29 years of marriage together.
Robert worked as an Iron Worker for Henry Gurtzweiler Inc., of Toledo for 35 years before he retired. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local #55 in Toledo. Robert was an accomplished artist and enjoyed completing Metal Art Sculptures, and Wood Carvings. He loved the outdoors: fishing, hiking, and bird watching. He was a talented Pianist, and held for a number of years the World Record time on Column Climbing. However, his greatest love was spending time with his wife and boys.
In addition to his wife Paula, Robert is survived by his sons: Zachary (Abigail) Coffield of Berea, OH, and Lucas Coffield of Bowling Green. Brother; John (Christa) Coffield of Defiance, OH, and sister; Diane (Gary) Domoe of Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received 4-7 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 10, 2024. There will be a time of additional visitation the day of the Memorial from 10 a.m., until time of service. Officiating will be, Eric Corns. Interment will be in Pemberville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
