It is with heavy yet peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Roberta Louise (Herman) Lees. Born on December 29, 1949, in Lima, OH, she left this world on July 17, 2024.
Roberta was a woman of perseverance, patience, and love who dedicated her life to helping others. During her life she made many friends; through working as a seamstress at Longs Cleaners, a Walmart cashier. She was sturdy in her love and devotion as a Christian who allowed God to use her life as testimony of Him. As it is written in Proverbs 31: 10-12, she left a legacy of faith that touched everyone around her. Throughout her life, Roberta faced trials and tribulations, including two battles with cancer and a traumatic brain injury. It was through these trials that she remained steadfast in her relationship with God, and reminded others that our body is just a vessel.
She had a very special sweet tooth for ice cream and was rumored by her family to be Sundae Station’s best customer. She found joy in crafting everything from Barbie clothes and Halloween costumes, to crocheting items for babies in the NICU. Moments spent with her family were her happy place, and will always be the families best back scratcher.
Roberta is survived by her husband Ian; children: Wendy (Frank) Weldon III, Wendell Lee (Rachel) Keyser Jr.; step-children: Isiah, Paul, Ian D., and Kevin Lees; grandchildren: Amanda, Frank IV, Abraham, Emily, Erika, Austin and Raydon; great-grandchildren: Braelynn and Jack. Niece Jennifer King, and nephew Davin King. She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Herman and Helen (Hughes); Jim Williamson her step-dad that help raise her; sister Becki King and her special Aunt Dee Dee Ramey.
Contributions in Roberta’s honor may be gifted to The Traumatic Brain Injury Foundation.
Services will be private.
