Rodger Lee Cochran

Rodger Lee Cochran, age 86, of Pemberville, OH passed away at home with his family near his side, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024. He was born on October 21, 1938 to Sanford M. and Inez N. (Williams) Cochran in Louisville, KY. Rodger proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Caroline Garn on March 15, 1970 at Pemberville United Methodist Church. Rodger and Caroline raised 3 children and have celebrated over 54 years of marriage together.

Rodger worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office for 25 years, and later worked for the City of Perrysburg as a court bailiff for 15 plus year before retiring. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America achieving the Eagle Scout and Silver Beaver Awards. In addition, Rodger served as a Past Master of the Masons. His children remember him as a man of many interests, with the greatest joy of spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife Caroline, Rodger is survived by his children: Jean (Brian) Fite of Bowling Green, and Jack Cochran of Pemberville. Grandson; James (Mary Schardt) Fite of MD. He was preceded in death by his parents, and son; Lee Cochran.

There are no public services at this time. However, the family plans on hosting a Memorial Service at a future date to be announced.
