Rosemary Diane Kotula, age 83, of Perrysburg, OH passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 6, 1934 in Toledo to Frank and Harriet (Klimczak) Rosinski. On March 2, 1956, she married John “Jay” Kotula in Toledo, who preceded her in death on September 3, 2001. For numerous years Rosemary was employed as assistant head cook for the Perrysburg local schools, retiring to spend time with Jay. Rosemary was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Dowling, assisting with Sharing Hands and the funeral lunch ministries. Affectionately known as “Nana” to her granddaughters, she always loved attending their activities and special events. She also enjoyed helping out at Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary #240, reading and doing word searches. However, she was especially noted for her love of shopping! Rosemary is survived by her son: Brian (Karen) Kotula of Bowling Green, brother: Ted Marczak and granddaughters: Stacy (Corey) Stulpin and Andrea (fiancé Zachary Kosek) Kotula. In addition to her husband Jay of 45 years, she is preceded in death by her parents and brother: Daniel Ross. Family and friends will be received on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 9:00-11:30 AM at the Marsh Funeral Home, 4094 State Route 105, Pemberville, OH. At 11:00 AM the Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary #240 and Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240 will have an organizational walk-through. There will be a brief time of prayer and reflection upon conclusion of the visitation at 11:30 AM. Officiating will be Pastor William Hutflies. A bereavement luncheon will be served at the Troy-Webster American Legion Post #240 located at 335 Park Drive, in Luckey immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Troy-Webster American Legion Auxiliary #240.
