The skies over Rossford will light up, once again, for the Rossford Balloon & Fireworks Fest. This free event will take place Friday and Saturday, July 18–19, at the crossroads of I-75 and the Ohio Turnpike (Exit 64) behind Meijer on Route 20-Fremont Pike. In addition to a lineup of family-friendly activities, there will be food, hot air balloons, and fireworks. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and their “sense of adventure.”

Tethered Balloon Rides will be available Friday and Saturday from 7 to 11 p.m. (weather permitting). Rides are $15 per person and offer an ascent to 50–90 feet in the air, providing aerial views of the festival. The balloon has an “Easy Access Basket”, which features a side door — “ideal for small children, guests with mobility challenges, or wheelchair users.” Rides are first-come, first-served with no advance sales. Ticket sales start at 6 p.m..

Festival hosts are thrilled to welcome back Hero’s Party Experience, who offers a full-scale Kids’ Activity Area open both days from 5 to 10 p.m. Located in front of TOCA Soccer & Sports Center, 10020 S. Compass Dr., Rossford, the Family Fun Zone features four areas:

  • Kiddie Zone
  • Family Zone
  • Speed Zone
  • Carnival Zone

The event will also include pyro-musical fireworks with both aerial and ground displays each night, mass hot air balloon launches and balloon glows, live music, food trucks, and local vendors and artisans.

Families can purchase individual day passes for one or more zones or opt for a weekend all-access pass to explore them all. Early Bird Pricing has been extended through July 6th, offering savings on activities. To purchase tickets, go to BalloonFest2025.com. Parking is free.

Volunteers are still needed for a variety of roles, including event setup, guest services, ticket sales and more. All volunteers will receive a free festival T-shirt and the opportunity to be part of an event in Northwest Ohio.
