The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a crash involving a Waste Management truck and Spectrum Internet overhead cables. The crash occurred Friday (Oct. 10) at approximately 3:27 p.m., at the intersection of Ohio 795 and Oregon Road, in Perrysburg Township, Wood County.
The preliminary investigation revealed the 2020 Waste Management truck, driven by Reginald Green, 40, Toledo, was traveling eastbound on Route 795 with the rear receptacle of the truck inadvertently in the upright position. As a result of the crash, Route 795 remains closed, and as of 6 p.m., the estimated time of road closure was another five hours.
Spectrum Internet and the Ohio Department of Transportation are on scene assisting. The OSHP is being assisted on scene by the Perrysburg Township Police Department.
