Sandra L. “Sandi” Sherwood, 64, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away June 21, 2025. She was born October 3, 1960 in Bowling Green to Juan and Yolanda (Ordaz) Martinez. She married Dwight Sherwood on June 25, 1994.
Sandi was a 1979 graduate of Bowling Green High School, a 2002 graduate of BGSU, and later went on to become a Licensed Safety Professional. She worked as a Safety Compliance Coordinator for American-Lincoln and later worked for AMP Ohio, Retiring in 2023. Sandi enjoyed teaching as well as traveling, doing puzzles and reading. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Along with her husband of 31 years, Dwight, Sandi is survived by her mother Yolanda Martinez, sons Robert (Kate) Sherwood of Findlay, Ohio, Joseph (Karisa) Sherwood of Perrysburg, Ohio, James (Seneca) Sherwood of Maumee, Ohio and Brandon Sherwood of Bowling Green, Ohio, 9 grandchildren, brother John Martinez and sisters Delia (Amado) Castillo, Brenda Martinez and Leticia (Marc) Martinez.
She was preceded in death by her father Juan Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Thursday June 26, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Her funeral service will be held Friday June 27, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
