Sandra R. Maidment was born on June 20, 1948, in Oberlin, Ohio to Eugene and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Comings. Sandy and her family lived in Bryan, Ohio in her early years and then ultimately moved to Bowling Green, Ohio which she called home until her death on March 2, 2025.
Sandy graduated from Bowling Green High School and was employed at several local companies in Bowling Green during her working career and she also enjoyed volunteering for the Wood County Humane Society as she was a true animal lover. When Sandy became a resident at Wood Haven Health Care Senior Living, she was active with fellow residents and staff and embraced every day with a positive attitude.
Sandy was kind, loyal, hard-working, quick witted and devoted to her family and friends and expressed gratitude for the support and love she received from those she interacted with each day.
Sandy’s children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews (and extended family) and numerous friends brought a smile to her face and much joy to her life. Sandy stayed strong, courageous and positive while enduring many losses of those she loved dearly especially in recent years.
Sandy is survived by her son Brad Maidment (Crystal), grandson Trent Waters, granddaughters Haley Maidment and Cheylyn Maidment, great- grandchildren, Brantley Maidment and Lane Spencer, brother Bill Comings, sister-in-law Lynne Comings and nieces and nephews Shiela Stoops (Scott), Cindy Fosi, Shelley Appelbaum, Ed Gibler (Phyllis), Ryan Ernst, Michelle Alanis (Tomas) and Michael Babcock and other extended family.
