From WOOD COUNTY DISTRICT PUBLIC LIBRARY
The community is invited to join the Wood County District Public Library on Thursday, Nov. 20, at 6 p.m., to meet bestselling author Margaret Peterson Haddix for an evening presentation at the library. She’ll discuss her novel, “Say What?” which is the 2025 1BookBG pick. Attendees can learn about her writing process and her advice for young readers. Haddix will also be available to sign books after the event.
Haddix grew up on a farm near Washington Court House, Ohio. She graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with degrees in English/journalism, English/creative writing, and history. Before her first book was published, she worked as a newspaper copy editor in Fort Wayne, Indiana; a newspaper reporter in Indianapolis; and a community college instructor and freelance writer in Danville, Illinois. She has since written 50 books for kids and teens, which have also been translated into more than 20 different languages.
The event is free and open to the public and no registration is required. This event is supported by the Estate of Marjorie Conrad.
