Scooby, the 3-year-old pittie mix who came to the Wood County Dog Shelter last month as a stray, is still waiting for someone to offer him a home. He is a laid back, quiet guy who loves to go for nice leisurely strolls in the park, according to Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.
Scooby seems to do well with the other dogs at the shelter. “He loves to ‘talk’ to you and has a lot to say,” Harding said.
He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on his vaccines.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
