Several dogs waiting to be adopted at Wood County Dog Shelter

Rather than focus on one particular dog up for adoption this week, the Wood County Dog Shelter wants to show several dogs looking for homes.

“It has been a very busy couple of weeks here and we would love to meet some potential adopters, or assist anyone missing their dog that may be at the shelter on their stray hold,” Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding said.

These are just some of the available dogs at the shelter, with many more on their stray holds waiting for their owners before they go up for adoption.

The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.

The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
