Sharon Kay (Bomer) Roe passed away on January 25, 2025 at her home under the care of Bridge Hospice.
Sharon was born on March 19, 1938 at Findlay Hospital, the only child of Eldred L. and Ruth G. (Horner) Bomer. She graduated from Portage Township in 1956. After graduation, she attended beauty school in Toledo, then worked in Bowling Green for three years. Sharon married Eugene (Gene) F. Roe on July 8, 1960 and was a homemaker. In 1970, the family relocated to Sylvania, Ohio, and in 1984 Sharon and Gene then moved to Bowling Green, Ohio, where she has resided for the last 41 years.
Sharon loved to play games; prior to the Covid pandemic, she would regularly visit the senior center to play Dominoes or Hand and Foot. She was a Red Hat Lady, attended teas at the
Wood County Historical Center, and participated in various book clubs. She loved to travel, and saw much of the US on bus tours.
Sharon is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Andy) Goodwin of Portland, OR and Beth Ann Miller of Bowling Green, OH; grandchildren, Eric (Katie) Goodwin, Emily (Gabe) Hall, Kian Miller, and
Nick Miller; and great-grandson, Andrew Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son-in-law Eric Miller.
At Sharon’s request, the family invites you to join them for a celebration and ice cream social to be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home Banquet Hall, Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Bridge Hospice of Findlay. Interment will be private.
