Sherrod Brown shows up for his constituents

Senator Sherrod Brown is a rare public servant these days, one who is much more interested in doing the important daily work of improving the lives of their constituents, rather than building a personal brand that leads to television show appearances or a run for higher office. In a quick search of local media sources, here are some examples of Sherrod’s visits and contributions to Wood County:

  • Sherrod shows up to Owens Community College to speak to grade schoolers in Manufacturing Camp, to promote careers in manufacturing (2023, 2024);
  • Sherrod and his wife Connie Schultz spoke to college student leaders at BGSU for the statewide Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit (2019);
  • Hosted a summit with local veterans in BG to talk about burn pit exposure (2022);
  • Sherrod visits First Solar to talk about solar manufacturing exports (2011)
  • Shows up to Grounds for Thought to answer citizen questions for an hour (2022);
  • Sherrod talks with advanced manufacturing students at Penta (2022);
  • Announces a FEMA grant to Perrysburg Township for their firefighters (2017);
  • Sherrod talks with Perrysburg students about the student loan crisis (2022);
  • Sherrod helps Harbor Town Senior Residence receive a Rural Rental Housing Guaranteed Loan to help build affordable housing (2022);
  • Sherrod advocates for local governments to apply for COVID funding (2021);
  • Sherrod meets with local Mayors to listen to their concerns at Carter House in BG (2019);

Senator Brown puts in the hard work involved in improving the daily lives of Wood Countians. Please join me in voting to reelect Sherrod Brown for US Senate.
