Shirley M. Rife, 85 of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Tuesday February 20, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on May 19, 1938, to the late Franklyn and Pearl (Fletcher) Mazey in Dunbridge, Ohio. She married Marvin Rife on April 7, 1956, who preceded her in death in 2019.
Shirley was a bus driver for the Otsego school district, she was a member of Plain Church in Bowling Green. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, camping, her animals and spreading the gospel. Above all she loved spending time with her family. She will be missed dearly by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings and friends.
Shirley is survived by her children, Steven (Nancy) Rife of Pemberville, Ohio, Randy (Lori) Rife of Grand Rapids, Ohio, Beny Rife of Columbus, Ohio, Connie (Steve) Queen of Grand Rapids, Ohio, Marcia (James) Noon of Bowling Green, Ohio, brothers, Sam Mazey, Gene Mazey, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Along with Shirley’s loving husband, she is preceded in death by her parents, and son Brian Rife.
Memorial contributions may be given to Plain Church in Bowling Green, Ohio.
A visitation will be held on Sunday February 25, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio at 408 W. Wooster St. Her funeral service will be held on Monday February 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Plain Church, 16011 W. Poe Rd, Bowling Green, Ohio. Pastor Chris Baney will officiate. Interment will follow at Union Hill Cemetery.
