Meet Sissy, a 1-year-old black lab that was brought to the Wood County Dog Shelter as a stray. She was microchipped, but unfortunately the microchip company went out of business and her information was never transferred to another company.
Sissy is a typical lab who loves to run through rain puddles and loves to run in the dog park. She is a higher energy girl and is looking for the same in her forever family, according to Wood County Chief Dog Warden Jodi Harding.
She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
The adoption fee for all shelter dogs is $89, which includes a $14 Wood County dog license, and $75 vet voucher toward spay/neuter and vaccines if needed.
The hours for the shelter are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays. The Wood County Dog Shelter is located at 1912 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green, phone 419-354-9242.
