A traffic pursuit, prompted by squealing tires, that began on the east side of the Bowling Green State University campus, ended with the driver’s arrest this morning (Jan. 9, 2020).
BGSU Police Chief Mike Campbell said campus police tried to make a stop after driver, Chant Meece, was squealing his tires at about 8 a.m.
Meece, 20, of Bowling Green, refused to stop.
The brief pursuit, which lasted only couple minutes, ended when Meece stopped on North Main Street near the Woodland Mall.
BGSU police arrested Meece for failure to comply, and he was booked into the Wood County Correctional Center.
Bowling Green police assisted in the pursuit.
