State highway patrol to hold OVI checkpoint tonight in Perrysburg

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, in conjunction with the Perrysburg Police Department, the Perrysburg Township Police Department, and the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, announced today (Aug. 15) that an OVI checkpoint will be held from 8 to 11 tonight on Front Street in Perrysburg.

The OVI checkpoint, funded by federal grant funds, is planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers. The checkpoint will also be held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols to aggressively combat impaired driver-related injury and fatal crashes.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists to call #677 if they suspect an impaired driver.
