In conjunction with the Rally BG on Main event scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 23, certain street closures and parking restrictions will be imposed in downtown Bowling Green.
Main Street, from Clay to Pearl, and East Clough Street, from Main to Prospect, will close to traffic at 11 a.m. While Main Street is closed, no through traffic will be permitted on Clough Street, Court Street, Oak Street, or Washington Street. Wooster Street will remain open to east and westbound traffic.
Beginning at 5 a.m., on-street parking will be prohibited on Main Street from Clay to Pearl, on Clay Street from Main to Grove, on East Clough Street from Main to Prospect, on East Oak Street, from Main to midblock, and on West Washington Street, from Main to Church.
These restrictions will be in place until the end of the event when the road reopens.
During the Main Street closure, detour routes for local and truck traffic will be posted.
Additional bike racks/bicycle parking will be located on North and South Main streets, at both ends of the event.
All streets will reopen, and parking will be reinstated immediately following the event.
