Suicide prevention advocate to present ‘It’s a Tough Conversation…Live’ Sept. 30

The Wood County Suicide Prevention Coalition will host a powerful resiliency event during Suicide Prevention Awareness Month featuring Dennis Gillan, founder and executive director of Half a Sorrow Foundation.

Gillan, who is on a mission to reverse the rising rates of suicide and break the stigma surrounding mental health, will present “It’s a Tough Subject…Live” on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Simpson Garden Building Banquet Room, 1291 Conneaut Ave., Bowling Green. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. The presentation will also be available live on the coalition’s Facebook page, @WoodCountySuicidePrevention.
