Susan Bourrillion, 75, of Bowling Green passed away on January 19, 2024. She was born on June 16, 1948 to the late Edward and Velma (Jimison) Mauk. She married Douglas Bourrillion and they were together until he passed away in 2010.
Susan is survived by a step-daughter, Nicole Bourrillion; brother, Tom (Darlene) Mauk; nephews: Kyle and Daniel (Sarah); cousins: Martha (Ron) Ednie, James (Angela) and their children Alissa and Andrew; Aunt June; and a special friend Ruthie. Along with her parents and husband, Susan was preceded in death by her Uncle Ralph and cousin Timothy.
Susan was an English teacher for Monroe Junior High in Michigan until she retired. After retiring she moved to Florida and very much enjoyed her time there. Her love of poetry, reading and writing carried on throughout her entire life.
A Celebration of Susan’s Life will be held on Saturday, April 20 at 11:00 am at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Bowling Green with a reception immediately following. A private burial will be held at Portage Cemetery at a later date.
Contributions in her honor may be gifted to Saint Jude Childrens Hospital.
